Internet Marketing with an Ipod Touch Part 2
Once again, another posting in English as I’ll be sharing with you more information on the Ipod Touch. I’ve also included more photos of the Ipod Touch including the features it has and what different websites and search engines look like on the Ipod Touch.
Below is my Ipod Touch against the background of my laptop:
My Ipod Touch has 16GB of storage. You may notice that there are only a few applications on the ipod touch in the photo (do note that this is about to change …later).

This is what my ipod touch looks like after I hacked it:
Hightly recommended to hack but not for the faint hearted … :p

This is where I learned to ‘upgrade’ my ipod touch:
How to hack your Ipod Touch
(ps - please read disclaimer below.)
Why ‘upgrade’?
Well, there are numerous free applications you can install including an RSS reader for your Ipod, more comprehensive and specific dictionaries, fix for your calendar and did I mention games, games and more games …?
This is what Google looks like on the Ipod Touch screen:

This is the touch screen keyboard of the ipod touch. You’ll need some practice to use it and it may be awkward and hard to use at first. Once you get the hang of it, it’s quite okay. Turn off the auto-dictionary, especially if you’re typing in another language (like Malay) as it gets annoying when the dictionary tries to correct your spelling.

My Blog on the Ipod Touch once again. Note that this is a vertical view of my Blog. If I tilt the Ipod Touch horizontally, I can still view my Blog correctly as the webpage will automatically correct itself to become horizontal. Remember that the Apple Ipod uses Safari as its browser, but my Blog template still looks fine (try viewing my Blog with IE 6.0 and you’ll see what I mean).

Yahoo.com on the Ipod Touch. Don’t worry about the small display. I can actually zoom in and out of any section on Yahoo with this Ipod. For instance, I can zoom in onto the Yahoo search bar to type keywords. Zooming in and out requires some finger gymnastics on the Ipod screen but you’ll get used to it.

If you already have an Ipod Touch and want to find some free games to play, as long as you’re connected to the internet (on your Ipod Touch, of course!), you can surf to:

Thanks for the really great review.! Just one more question. Which is better to get? This “iTouch” or “iPhone”
It looks the same size and functions are almost the same but the difference is the storage and phone options, right?
I saw Vince Tan’s iPhone…looks really cool and easy to surf. I will get one of these when I feel it’s necessary or when my Sony P900i goes bonkers.

Hi Matt,
Well, the 16Gb ipod touch costs around RM1800 right now. I got mine at Sunway Pyramid.
As for the iphone … of course, it’s better … coz you can make calls with it, has the iphone Maps apps, camera, etc…
but the price is between RM2800 - RM3000 right now.
The Iphone is not officially launched in Malaysia and there have been some issues with the cracked iphones hanging, etc.
IMHO, if you plan to get the iphone, wait till it gets to Malaysia or Singapore. Also, I heard a later version will have 3G and perhaps more storage. huhu … I can’t wait!
Personally for me, right now, the ipod touch is good enough as I use it to check emails and my sites when I’m traveling.
My phone is just an old Nokia one … hahaa, no plans to change it yet … coz it still works fine.
