The Evolution of Website and Blog Internet Melayu
This posting will be written in English because I haven’t written English postings here in a while. Today I’ll discuss on web design and the evolution of internetmelayu.com from being a simple blog hosted on TBlog to a wordpress blog with its own hosting to the Malaysian internet marketing portal that it is now.
My first internetmelayu blog was on Tblog.com. It was built on March 16th, 2006. The first posting was titled: “Internet Sebagai Sumber Rezeki” and you can read it by CLICKING HERE as I have uploaded the entire old Tblog entries to this server.
This was what internetmelayu.com looked like back then:
I decided to move to my own hosting sometime in June 2006.
Once I’ve moved to my own hosting, I set up InternetMelayu.com with the Wordpress.org blogging script. You can read the posting about the ‘move’ by CLICKING HERE.
This is the template I used for my InternetMelayu wordpress blog:
In January 2007, I decided to try out a new wordpress theme as I was upgrading to Wordpress 2.1 Ella and it was the New Year too:
Middle of March, 2007 I upgraded my server from a shared hosting to a reseller hosting. You can read about that by CLICKING HERE. I also moved my blog to a subdirectory at /blog and made internetmelayu.com become a proper website.
This is what the Internet Melayu website looked like around April 2007:
Since then, I’ve redesigned the website to look like this (…up to 21st October, 2007):
… and most recently (from 21st October 2007 till now) to this … the new Internet Melayu Website design:
I use XSitePro to build the InternetMelayu.com website as it’s easy for me to modify the site using XSitePro and it has all the features I need.
Oh yeah, this is what the internetmelayu.com/blog looks like now (as of this posting):
The reasons for the redesign and evolution of the InternetMelayu.com website and blog was:
1.) Personal – I get bored with the old designs after a while. 
2.) Visitor Reaction – I don’t want my readers and visitors to get bored too. 
3.) Testing – I wanted to test and compare the click-thru rates and conversion rates for different layouts.
4.) Adding new features – I needed to add a new script, feature or info on my website, such as adding the Bahasa Melayu Internet Marketing Dictionary.

In your whole post, i only interested with the Bahasa Melayu Internet Marketing Dictionary. It can be a great give-away product.

Well, can’t only write about IM and promotional stuffs, right?
Well, I will expand on the dictionary later. Right now I’m going to ‘balik kampung’ at noon today because my cousin is getting married this Saturday in Kay Tee.

hehehehe the evolution is great. Fast and amazing evolution. In one year, from lame to fame. Im using Xsite pro but still terkial2. Im not a good programmer/designer.

Yes, as we progress more into this IM business, it’s also our responsibility to ensure our info is good and up to date.
Of course, we musn’t write 100% on IM business or promotion only, but we’d have to build trust and friendship with the readers and visitors.

Nampaknya satu evolusi kejayaan bagi internetmelayu ni.. Dr dulu nampaknya berkembang jd lebih baik..
