Internet Marketing Is All About Writing

This posting will be written in English. Okay, so is it true that internet marketing is all about writing? Well, after having been in this business for nearly 2 years, I dare say that I’ve been doing more writing than I’ve ever done since leaving university!

A few years back, when I was still working in an office with a Boss and Work Colleagues, the most writing I’d ever done was the monthly report and once, writing the contents for some pre-qualification and tender document thingy (long story). Usually the most writing (or typing) I did was spelling out my own name for some form. Oh yeah, how could I forget - the longest piece of writing I did whilst working at an office was doing my curriculum vitae (CV) for a new job application.

So, do you need to write to be successful in internet marketing? Well, no matter what language you write in (whether English, Malay, Chinese, Russian, Greek or whatever) the key is in writing.

Fire up your internet browser and what do you see?
Writing (or more accurately, typed words).

Yes, the Internet is filled with people’s writings and ramblings. So, to GET INVOLVED in internet marketing means to write. These are the things I’ve wrote on and for the internet since firing my boss:

1.) Blog postings and comments.
2.) Forum postings and comments.
3.) Articles
4.) Reports
5.) Manuals
6.) E-books
7.) Salesletters
8.) Autoresponder emails.
9.) Advertisements snippets.

To make money on the internet, you MUST write. It doesn’t matter whether you write yourself or write through a ghostwriter. Whether you are selling the writing itself or using the writing to promote other things, writing is what sells on the Net.

You might ask: But how to start writing?
Well, start with a topic you are familiar with or the one you love. If you like fishing, write a short article on fishing. Just start writing. It doesn’t matter if your grammar or spellings are incorrect. The main idea is to get the creative juices to flow from your mind onto your writing.
